hypocotyle

Nom masculin : Partie axiale d'un embryon ou d'un semis située entre les cotylédons et la radicule.

Notes : Chez certaines espèces, l'hypocotyle représente le lieu de stockage des réserves nutritives dans une graine. Ex.: le Noisetier (Corylus).
